Dallas, Texas: The Silent Fall: A Secret Service Agent’s Story of Tragedy and Triumph After 9/11, is a bold revelation of the silent suffering that Samantha (Sam) Horwitz, an agent in the New York Field Office, experienced after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Sam takes the reader back to the World Trade Center complex on 9/11 and walks them through her day step by step. From the moment she left her apartment, to being in the elevator in 1 WTC when American Airlines flight 11 struck it, Sam shares the silent struggle that almost killed her, and her climb back to the top of her game.

“Post-traumatic stress, battle fatigue, shell shock, no matter what you call it, it links generations of those of us who have suffered. The trauma may have been different, but our symptoms are the same. It’s what unites us in our quest for recovery,” Sam says.
